Low-calorie cooking

Eat as many vegetables as you like at the start of your meal. They're very low in calories, they'll curb your hunger, and you'll be more relaxed to savour the rest of the meal. Examples:

 

Start the meal with a dish of green beans with lemon and parsley, an artichoke heart, some cauliflower heads in a low-fat cream sauce, sliced courgettes in lettuce, mixed vegetables in a light vinaigrette sauce

 

To improve or restore your figure, try very light menus that are still varied and balanced:

  • For her, fewer than 350 Kcalories: Shredded carrots (+ 1 tsp. of vinaigrette), a filet of fish and steamed leeks (+ chopped aromatic herbs and 1 tsp. of low-fat fresh cream).
  • For him, fewer than 500 Kcalories: Leeks with 1 tsp. of vinaigrette, a grilled trout steak, steamed courgette and a bowl of white rice (+ sprinkled curry and lemon juice). 1 non-fat, sugar-free fruit yoghurt.
