Summer 2008 call for proposals
Nutritional education
Students, children and families:
Call for projects Summer 2008 received 45 proposals. The jury of the Foundation Louis Bonduelle decided to bring its support to 6 of them : The European pole of innovation fruits and vegetables (PEIFL) held attention of the Foundation by presenting " a question of balance ", a nutritional educational tool which helps to understand the role of fruits and vegetables in a well-balanced diet.
The Louis Bonduelle Foundation also supports local initiatives with the association " Le jardin voyageur ", that makes children discover pleasures of a vegetable garden, from seed to tasting.
Population having the reputation to feed badly, the students, are another target that the Louis Bonduelle Foundation touches by bringing its support to the Federation of the Student General Associations (FAGE), which sets up a prevention campaign on risky behaviors.

- United Nations Development Programme (Ukraine): “Friendly Vegetables” project. An education programme for people living in areas affected by the Chernobyl disaster on dietary practices appropriate to the specific characteristics of their environment through promoting the use of vegetables. - French Federation of General Student Associations (Paris): “Responsible Students” programme to raise awareness amongst students of risky behaviours and preventing ill-health by eating an appropriate diet.
- European Innovation Centre for Fruit and Vegetables (Vaucluse) : The project, “A question of balance”, is to develop a new nutritional tool that will help people to understand the role of fruit and vegetables in a healthy balanced diet and aims to change eating behaviours.
- “The Travelling Garden” Association (Nord): The “From garden to plate” project, aimed at children, is designed to introduce them to the pleasures of the vegetable garden, from growing right through to tasting, to help them get to know more about vegetables and enjoy them.
- Flandre Lys joint municipal authority (Nord): The “A vegetable garden in our schools” project is designed to raise children’s awareness about vegetable growing as part of the EPODE project.
- Institut Pasteur (Nord): Evaluation of the effects of sensory education in children, in conjunction with the Les sens du goût association.
