35% aimed at children

For its third call for projects, the Louis Bonduelle Foundation received 42 proposals and 35% of them are aimed at children. Th Foundation decided to support 4 projects.

They concern fruits and vegetables distribution, constructions of vegetable gardens, sensory workshops... Proposals also target families and disadvantaged young people.

• La ferme du major - France -département 59- Raismes  : helps every year a hundred of young adults to find a job. The educational team noticed that young people have a diet rich in fats and in quick-burning sugars as well as a weak consumption of vegetables and fruits. By a collective, playful and participative animation, the objective is to supply young adults keys of a well-balanced food diet, rich in fruits and vegetables: information sessions, cooking workshops, animations on seasonality, distribution of fruits and vegetables during breaks,…
• Association nationale des parents d’enfants aveugles – France - département 62 – Witternesse : welcomes a population of blind persons with or without linked handicap from 25 years to more than 60 years. Faced to the ageing of the persons and with the increase of cardiovascular diseases risks, the association launched an awareness campaign on food balance. The project aims at making discover, with cooks and dieticians, new flavours and bases of a balanced diet, around forgotten vegetables: parsnip, Jerusalem artichoke, swede, …
• Vice et versa – France - département 26 – Bourg les Valence : sets up shows and pedagogical programs about the awakening of senses. Its project consists in educational actions on taste for children and theirs parents: pedagogical activities in schools and an event aimed at families (workshops, exhibition,…)
• Unis-cité - France -département  67 – Strasbourg : develops programs of voluntary service for young people from 18 to 25 years old. The project consists in realizing playful awareness activities around vegetables for children from 7 to 12 years : games, quiz, a book made by children and organization of an event.
