Researchers from Perdue tested the influence of a high-protein diet on bone mineral density (BMD). Two studies, whose results should be published in September in the , allowed to conclude that women following a high-protein diet after menopause, to lose weight, seemed to be more exposed to the risk of osteoporosis, even with a calcic supplementation.
