Boiled chestnuts

- 800 g chestnuts
- 1 or 2 branches of fennel
- salt, pepper
Recipe
- Preparation: make a small cut in the chestnuts and boil them for 30 min. in a pot of salted water fragranced with the celery sticks. Check if they are cooked before removing from the stove: the skin should come off easily and the chestnuts should be soft. Serve.
Tip
This is an easy, inexpensive recipe. If you don’t have the time, simply open a jar or tin of peeled, boiled chestnuts.
