Vegetables are salt-free and easy to handle, so have small children try the taste of cauliflower, green beans and courgettes (zucchini) as well as Brussels sprouts, broccoli, carrots and even aubergines (eggplant), celery, fennel, artichokes and more.

Example:

  • Let them taste a green bean, peas or a cooked carrot slice for themselves, to help them wait until mealtime. It's healthier than a biscuit or cookie!
  • Amuse small children with sections of green beans in their soup or pasta, a few heads of broccoli, etc. As they discover the spectrum of colours, they'll be encouraged to taste.
