Vegetable garden: growing lentil

To grow in optimum conditions and get nice seeds, a temperate climate is a must. Seedlings take place between March and April outdoors, in pocket. Flowering takes place between May and July; white flowers with long peduncle will blossom. Harvesting takes place from August and September before the seeds mature.

The cowpea weevil is the lentil’s worst enemy, as with many pulses, it attacks the seeds, and holes appear on them. Subsequently these diseases cause a slower growth of the plant, which can even lead to the death of the latter. Lentil is a vegetable but also a seed.
