A Snapshot of Lutein
Lutein: keep an eye on vegetables
Lutein is a pigment that is found in the retina along with zeaxanthin: a deficiency of it may cause eye problems. Although it does not have the same status as vitamins, it must be a part of any diet. Today, many studies are being carried out to determine the recommended intake for populations. The main natural sources of lutein are vegetables, particularly spinach.
