Boiled chestnuts

This is an easy, inexpensive recipe. If you don’t have the time, simply open a jar or can of peeled, boiled chestnuts. Delicious served with an aperitif, a very healthy and nourishing snack that gives you nutrients rarely found in modern foods.

Ingredients (serves 4):

Instructions:

  • Make a small cut in the chestnuts and boil them for 30 minutes in a pot of salted water fragranced with the celery sticks.
  • Check if they are cooked before removing from the stove: the skin should come off easily and the chestnuts should be soft. Serve.
