Cabbage, apples salad with cumin

A fresh and light salad, low in calories that will provide the fibres to help digestion and vitamins to contribute to the normal functioning immune system.

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 200g of red cabbage
  • 1 granny smith
  • 1 tsp. of cumin seeds
  • Rapeseed oil
  • Vinaigrette


  • Shred the red cabbage and place into a salad bowl.
  • Peel the apple, remove the stalk and seeds then grate the flesh. Place the apple shavings into the salad bowl.
  • Add the seasoning and sprinkle with the cumin seeds.

Goes very well with grilled meat or grilled poultry.  A recipe costing less than 5 Euro and accessible to all.
