Chicory with ham

A typical French cuisine dish that subtlety triggers an explosion of flavours on the palate No shortage of vitamins! They help reducing fatigue and contributing to the normal functioning of the immune system.

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 8 chicories
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 handfuls of whole Paris mushrooms in can
  • 1 cube of vegetable broth


  • In a saucepan, boil 3 cups of water. Prepare the broth: place the cube in the saucepan and wait until it dissolves.
  • Clean the chicories by removing the heart and the first leaves.
  • Steam the chicories for 10 minutes or cook in the microwave.
  • Wrap half a slice of ham around each chicory and place into a baking dish, adding the drained mushrooms. Then pour the whole broth.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.

To remove the bitterness of chicory, cut out the heart and add a bit of sugar when cooking.
